Harris Funeral Homes Inc
Beverly Jean Mayo, age 74, of Bigelow, passed away Monday, February 25, 2008. She was born May 21, 1933, in Ft. Worth, Texas, a daughter of Gene Vanderford and Blanche Mae Vaughn Vanderford. She was retired dietician at East End School District, member of Bigelow Baptist Church, and the widow of Earl Mayo, Jr.
Survivors include five sons, Mike and Mark Mayo both of Bigelow; Ken and Kevin Mayo both of Conway, and Bert Mayo of Fayetteville; two daughters, Kathy Talley of Russellville, and Karen Brazil of Houston; three sisters, Norma Harding of Little Rock, Helen Worthin of Coal Hill, and Shirley Allen of Bigelow; seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Vanderford and a sister Bernice Hardesty.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2008, at Bigelow Baptist Church with Bro. Sam Parker, Bro. James Wilson, and Bro. Mike Jones officiating. Burial will be at Vollman Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
