Mrs. Fannie Tatum

Mrs. Fannie Tatum was born in Georgia, November 10, 1870 and passed away in Izard County Memorial Hospital April 22, 1963 at the age of 92 years, five months and eleven days. She had been a resident of Izard County for 88 years, having come from Georgia with her parents when only four years of age. She had been a member of the Methodist Church for many years.

She was married in 1887 to Robert C. Tatum who preceded her in death in 1938. She was also predeceased by four children. The surviving children are: One son, Bransom Tatum of Oxford and seven daughters: Mrs. Beulah Morgan and Mrs. Emma Morgan of Oxford, Mrs. Alma Clinton and Mrs. Ella Davis of West Plains, Mo., Mrs. Lucy Armstrong of Bell, Calif., Mrs. Mary Webb and Mrs. Vida Dixon of Wasco, Calif. Other survivors include 17 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, 31 great-great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Oxford Methodist Presbyterian Church Friday, April 26 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Hugh Cooper and Rev. Harold Bailey officiating. Burial was in Shaver Camp Ground Cemetery with the Crouch Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased: Henry McCollum, Paul McCollum, Ransom McCollum, Jay McCollum, Olen Youngblood, and William Julian.
