SIDNEY L. MARCUM
Sidney L. Marcum, 68, Fayetteville died July 8 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Nov. 18, 1909, in Barnes, Ark., he was the son of James and Phebe Evelyn Childres Marcum. He was a Protestant, retired cook with San Joaquin General Hospital, French Camp, Calif., and World War II U.S. Army veteran who lived in Fayetteville the past seven years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Effie Burrell Marcum of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Sue Larson of Fayetteville and Mrs. Brenda Kay Ladd of Stockton, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Evelyn Dempsey of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a brother, Mike Marcum of Yakima, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Loueema Thomas of Ozark and Mrs. Odessa Kirkbride of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Moore's Chapel. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Crosses, Madison County, under diiection of Moore's.
