CHARLES W. MCDOUGAL
Charles William McDougal, 72, 111 Park St., Bentonville, died Nov. 21 in Bates Memorial Hospital, Bentonville. Born Oct. 14, 1904, in Newton County, he was the son of Samuel H. and Jane Bethany McDougal, moved to Bentonville in 1936 and was employed as a butcher for Roy Lovell. He retired in 1974 as custodian of the Bentonville school system.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Luella J. Haney McDougal of the home; five sons, John W. McDougal, Glasgow, Ky., Paul J. McDougal, Perryville, Harvey W. McDougal, Bunell, Fla., Jerry D. McDougal and Bobby C. McDougal, Bentonville; two daughters, Mrs. Patsy Lovell, Fayetteville, and Mrs. Sue Buchanan, Pea Ridge; two sisters, Mrs. Arda Phillips, Western Grove, and Mrs. Virgie Walton, Fullerton, Calif.; and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Burns Funeral Home, Bentonville, with the Rev. Bill F. Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery under the direction of Burns.
