ADA MAE THOMAS SIMS VANN, 84, of North Little Rock, passed on June 21, 2012. She was born on Nov. 23, 1927 in Hickory Plains to Lealon Jacob and Ella Mae Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dewey Thomas, Dayton Thomas, Doyne Thomas; sisters, LuElla Walls, Linda Diane Johnston; daughter, Velma Louis Navra, and stepdaughter, Delphine Odom. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, L.T. (Pete) Vann; daughter, Fannie St. John of Jacksonville; son, Derrell Vann and wife Marilyn Vann of Jacksonville; daughter, Nancy Foster and husband Alan Foster of Greenbrier; daughter Renee Vann of Columbia, S.C.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her family and friends will remember her as a model southern lady that filled the roles of mother, wife, grandmother, and mother-in-law with grace.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Roller Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 JFK Blvd, North Little Rock, Ark. (501-791-7400), Reverend Larry Ballard officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roller Owens Funeral Home. Interment at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Jacksonville, Ark.

Pallbearers: Bobby Navra, William St. John, Jeremy Navra, Raymond St. John, Ben Johnson, Russell Fugua, Shawn Fields, and Jimmy Fugua. Honorary pallbearers: Robert Navra, Bill Ellis, Jerry Odom.

The family suggests contributions me be made to Hospice of Arkansas. The family would also like to thank Hospice of Arkansas, William Ellis, Debbie Burrow, and Chelsea Lawson for all the love and care.
