Mrs. Tate, the aged mother of Mrs. Geo. Harris, was so badly burned Monday afternoon when the Harris home was destroyed by fire that she died that night. Mrs. Tate was in the house alone and was ironing when her dress caught fire. The daughter heard her mother scream for help and ran in the house and managed to get her out but the flames had spread to the contents of the room and the house was burned to the ground, nothing being saved. Mrs. Tate was taken to the home of another daughter, Mrs. Logan Leib, where she lingered in agony until about nine o'clock that night. Funeral services were held at the Leib home Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock and she was laid to rest in the Leib cemetery. Mrs. Tate is survived by a third daugh- {something omitted} Johnson of Pea Ridge. Mr. Harris had no insurance on his home. He lived west of Rogers, below the old Dabney place on Osage creek.
