Kelly Ann (Korban) Morris, 49, of Midwest City, Okla., passed away in peace and no pain on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Oklahoma University Medical Center, Comfort Care, after a brief illness.
Kelly was born Feb. 26, 1962, at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. She was a graduate of Lake Mills High School, class of 1980. She entered the Air Force in 1980; after basic training at Lackland, advanced training at Chanute, brief tours at Offutt and in Guam, Kelly resided in Oklahoma for the rest of her life.
She was the adored daughter of LeRoy “Korky” and Jean (Schuld) Korban of Lake Mills; sister of Renée Korban of Vadnais Heights, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Shelby Morris; her maternal grandparents, Elmer and Ruth Schuld of Jefferson; and her paternal grandparents, Edwin and Meta Korban of Watertown.
Compassionate and caring, with a big heart, Kelly wanted to help anyone in need, animals and humans alike; she was loved by all. Her family of friends in Oklahoma will honor Kelly with a memorial service there. There is no formal memorial service scheduled here at this time. Her final resting place will be at Yocum Creek Cemetery in Green Forest, Ark., next to her soul mate, her husband, Shelby.
The Korban family would like to thank the Phil Hein family (formerly of Lake Mills) for their compassion, caring, prayers and presence during our stay in Oklahoma. Arrangements were handled by Corbett Cremation Services.
Memorials, if desired, may be sent to the family and designated for the Lake Mills EMS or Rainbow Hospice to assist others in their time of need.
