Lloyd Arlest Phillips, 94 of Alexander went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 15, 2009. He was born November 18, 1914 in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas to the late Matthew Monroe Phillips and Lela Matilda Robinson Phillips. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired landscaper.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen Phillips who passed away in 2002; brothers, Eulean Phillips, Sebert Phillips; sisters, Gertrude Rule, Wilma Brassfield, Thelma Fish and Eretta Griffin.
He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, AR 72209 (501) 455-5800. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bigelow, Arkansas.
