ROBERT E. BOBO
Robert Ernest Bobo, 75, died Tuesday night in a Lewisville hospital.
He was a resident of Route 5, Hope.
He was a member of the Lewisville Assembly of God church.
Survivors are his wife, Mable McCoy Bobo of Hope; one son, J.W. Bobo of Hope; three daughters, Mrs. Wanda Faye Whittaker of Minden, La., Mrs. Ernestine Thompson of Palestine, Texas, Mrs. Sylvia Walters of McCaskill; three brothers, Hugh Bobo of Blevins, Coy Bobo of Hope, Fay Bobo of Lewisville; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Curtis of Chicago, Mrs. Hazel Moody of Waskom, Texas; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Herndon chapel with the Rev. Richard Grogan officiating. Burial will be in the Central Cemetery on Highway 29 under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home.
Note: His tombstone says Ernest R. Bobo (not Robert E. as stated in the obituary). Someone possibly made a mistake and switched his name around on the obituary.

Mable Bobo
HOPE--Mable C. Bobo, 90, of Hope, died December 16, 2003 at a local hospital. She was born September 26, 1913 in Nevada County to James and Mertie Horton McCoy. She was a retired LPN at Stamps Nursing Home and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lewisville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Bobo; one brother, four sisters; one daughter, Louise Cummings and granddaughter Beth McAteer.
Survivors include one son, Reverend J. W. Bobo of Hot Springs; three daughters, Faye Whittaker of Minden, La.; Ernestine Beck of New Boston, Texas; Sylvia Owens of Nashville; two sisters, Eura McCoy and Melba McCoy of Stamps; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for Friday, December 19, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Herndon Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Tedford officiating. Interment will follow at Central Cemetery in Hope under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, December 18, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. Services are under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home in Hope.
