Johnny "Red" Hudspeth

John Thomas, “Johnny Red”, Hudspeth, age 60, of Yellville, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 in Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home.

Johnny Red was born in Harrison, Arkansas on February 13, 1951. He was the son of the late G.D. and Sadie (Ott) Hudspeth. He was a lifelong resident of Marion County, a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, and a 1969 graduate of Yellville-Summit High School. He was currently employed as a ranch hand for the Sharp Cattle Company of Yellville, Arkansas. Johnny Red was baptized at the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church.

Johnny is survived by his two sons: Dustin and Tyler Hudspeth both of Gainesville, Missouri; three sisters: Marilyn Spurlock and her husband, Jim, of Huntsville, Arkansas; Lois Ann “Skippy” Sharp and her husband, Donnie, of Yellville; and Lucy Sharp and her husband, Rodney, of Yellville.

Johnny Red was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: David “Butch” Hudspeth, and Dennis Hudspeth.

Visitation will be held at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Gravesides services will be conducted at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Burris, James Sharp, Joe Don Sharp, David Allen Hudspeth, Lance Doshier, and Stanley Duffy.
