Dennis Hudspeth, age 61 of Yellville, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, April 6th , 2009 in the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas. Dennis was born at Gassville, Arkansas on March 26, 1948. He was the son of the late G.D. and Sadie (Ott) Hudspeth. Mr. Hudspeth was a self-employed farmer for 25 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served his country during the Vietnam War. Dennis enjoyed the outdoors, golf, and fishing for smallmouth bass on the Buffalo River.

Dennis is survived by the mother of his children, Frances Hudspeth of Lead Hill, Arkansas; his daughter, Denise Auman and her husband, Todd of Harrison, Arkansas and his son David Hudspeth and his wife, Gina of Marshall, Arkansas.

Surviving sisters are Marilyn Spurlock and her husband, Jim of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; Skippy Sharp and her husband, Donnie of Yellville and Lucy Sharp and her husband, Rodney of Yellville.

Dennis is also survived by one brother, Johnny “Red” Hudspeth of Yellville; his grandchildren, Alicia Auman, Ashlyn Hudspeth and Hastin Davis along with several nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by a brother, David “Butch” Hudspeth and his parents, G.D. & Sadie.

Visitation will be held at the Burns Funeral Home in Yellville on Tuesday, April 7 from 6-8 pm. Gravesides services will be conducted at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery on Wednesday, April 8 at 10:00 a.m. with Brian Jefferson officiating. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Burris, Jamie Sharp, Joe Don Sharp, Dustin Hudspeth and Tyler Hudspeth. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Claude Parrish Radiation Center in Harrison, Arkansas.
