FEATHERSTON, Samuel Eldridge - Samuel E. Featherston, a well known farmer living north of Bentonville, died at his home Monday noon after a short illness of pneumonia preceded by influenza. He was 47 years of age. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the New Home church, by the Rev. W.C. Hutton, pastor of the M.E. Church, South, Bentonville circuit. Mr. Featherston was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Featherston and was born on the Featherston homestead in the New Home community. His entire life had been spent in this community. Besides his parents he is survived by his widow, Mrs. 011ie Allison Featherston, four children and by four brothers, Will and Harley Featherston of that community; Clarence and Charles Featherston of Muskogee and by a sister, Mrs. Carrie Barton of Muskogee.

Bentonville, March 3.— Samuel Eldridge Featherston, 47 years old, prominent Benton county farmer and stockman and member of the Bentonville school board, died Monday afternoon at his home in the Pumpkin Hollow community after a short illness of pneumonia. Mr. Featherston is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Featherston, and his wife and four children. Funeral service was held Tuesday morning at the New Home Methodist church near Bella Vista with Rev. W.C. Hutton of the Bentonville circuit of the M.E. church, South, in charge. Burial was in the Bentonville cemetery.

Mrs. Ollie Evelyn Featherston, 84, Bentonville, died Tuesday morning at her home.

She was born March 17, 1891, at Minnesota and came to Bentonville two years later. She was a member of the New Home Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Glenn Featherston, of Bentonville; two daughters, Mrs. Mable Douglas and Mrs. Ellen Casey, both of Bentonville; one sister, Mrs. Leona Imes of Loveland, Calif.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Callison-McKinney Funeral Chapel in Bentonville with the Rev. Harold Brent officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery.
