PEARSON, Ora - Information has reached Springdale of the death of Ora Pearson, which occurred a few days ago in California. Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Pearson of Fayetteville who formerly resided four miles west of Springdale. Ora has been in California for the past few years and was back here on a visit recently, returning to California about two weeks ago. No particulars were received concerning his death and his parents knew nothing of his illness until word came that he was dead. Instructions have been sent to California to have the body forwarded here and it will be interred in the cemetery at Elm Springs. It is expected to reach here Saturday or Sunday. Ora had many friends in this vicinity who regret to learn of his death and who sympathize with the bereaved family in their affliction.

The body of Ora Pearson, mention of whose death was made in The News last week, arrived at Fayetteville Wednesday morning. The remains were taken out to Elm Springs and funeral services held at the M.E. Church, South at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Roberts, interment being in Elm Springs cemetery. The services were largely attended. The family of the young man has been unable to get any satisfactory information as to how deceased met his death. There was a bullet hole in his left side and it is said that he accidentally shot himself. In order to clear up the matter Jas. Holcomb, brother-in-law of the deceased, will leave soon for California to make an investigation.
