Shirley Allen, age 78, of Kingsland, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 17, 1929 to the late Charles Patchik and Annette Wynn. She was a homemaker and member of Kingsland Assembly of God. Survivors include two sons, Harry Allen of Nobel, LA and Ronald Allen of Kingsland; a daughter, Sandra Reid of Waldron; a brother, Mile Patchick of Illinois; a sister, Sandra Hoge of St. Petersburg, FL; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Allen, Sr.; a son, Wayne Walter Allen and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 28, in the Camp Springs Cemetery near Kingsland with Rev. Lewis Langley officiating. Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce was in charge of arrangements.
