Shirley Elaine Hightower Hjelden, 61, of Greenbrier died Sunday (May 14, 2006).
Born Sept. 10, 1944, in Greenbrier, daughter of Willie James Hightower and Ruby E. Hopkins Hightower of Greenbrier, she was a truck driver and a member of Needs Creek Baptist Church.
Other survivors are her husband, Burt Hjelden; a son, Roger Hjelden, of Greenbrier; four daughters, Becky Philpot ,of Jacksonville, Victoria Dwiggins, of Conway, Melissa Boone, of Conway and Christina Elrod, of Greenbrier; sister, Sandra Cates, of Conway; brother, Larry Hightower, of Greenbrier; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Weldon, David Cates, Brian Walker, Mike Hightower, Billie Ray Hightower and Mark Loyd.
