Helen Carter, 81, of Benton, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010. She was born in Point Cedar, Arkansas, May 20, 1929, to the late Henry and Laura Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olin Carter, brothers, Gene, Cliff and Lloyd Wilson and sister, Hazel Wilson Swartz. Helen was a housewife and member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Bernice Geurin and husband, Jim, son, Randy Carter and wife, Lana, four grandchildren, Rusty Geurin, Tammy Geurin Robinson (Neil) Lance Carter and Nick Carter, great grandchild, Carter Robinson, all of Benton, brother, Horace Wilson of Bryant, sisters, Bonnie Bearden of Lonsdale, Sherline Ferguson, Joy Ferguson, Wanda Colclauser and Louise Ferguson, all of Bryant, and Billie Brock of Little Rock.
Church Services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010, at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Carter and Bro. Richard Hamlin conducting the services.
Visitation will be at Ashby Funeral Home, Friday, December 3, 2010, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family will be at 467 Mulberry-Salem Road. In Lieu of flowers, the family request memorials may be made to Sharon Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund.
