Vira Carl
Vira E. Clemmer Carl, 91, of Gentry, died Thursday, Aug. 13, at Woodland Manor Nursing Home, Siloam Springs.
She was born May 4, 1901, at Springtown to Dr. Joe Lee Clemmer and Bertha Mae Wasson Clemmer. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Gentry, and attended Udited Methodist Church of Gentry, where she served as treasurer for many years. Her husband, Hugh Carl, died in 1961.
Survivors are a son, Joe Carl, of Gentry; two grandchildren, Steven R. Carl and Berta Jo Norris, both of Gentry; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside service is set for 10 a.m. today at Gentry Cemetery under direction of Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. Memorials may be made to the Vira Carl Memorial Fund at Gentry United Methodist Church.
