MRS. CORA PHILLIPS
Mrs. Cora Ann Phillips, 73, 428 Spring St., Rogers, died Oct. 3 in Rogers Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 6, 1901 at Glade, she was the daughter of Charles David and Catherine Edens Phillips, pioneer residents of Northwest Arkansas. She attended school at Cold Gap and was a member of Spring Street Mission Church.
Survivors include six sons, Cleo Coleman Phillips, Jack Leon Phillips, Billy Cleve Phillips and Floyd Phillips, Rogers, Vernon Phillips, Denver, Colo., and William Clell Bishop, Derby, Kan.; three daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Wishon, Mrs. Ethel Copper, Rogers, and Mrs. Oma Lee Nail, Laredo, Tex.; two brothers, Wiley Phillips, Tulsa, Okla., and Isaac Phillips, Rogers; two sisters, Mrs. Estell Bishop, Rogers, and Mrs. Elva Turner, Arlington, Tex.; 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in Burns Funeral Chapel, Rogers with the Rev. Joe Miller officiating. Burial will be in Ruddick's Chapel near Garfield under the direction of Burns.
