Mrs. Jane Mason Dies Suddenly
Mrs. Jane Mason aged 79 died of a heart attack about 1:30 p.m., Thursday Dec 28 at the home of her son, Jeff Mason of Bandmill where she was making her home at the time of her death.
Mrs. Mason was a lifelong resident of Izard County and was the widow of the late Richard A. Mason, who preceded her in death in 1941. She was a Methodist.
Survivors beside Jeff include five other sons, Fred and Hayden both of California, Thurman of Festus, Mo., Jim of Gorby and Earl of Calico Rock, and one daughter, Fannie Madge of Cashmere, Wash.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Spring Creek Methodist Church with the Rev. Willis LeGrand and Jim Floyd officiating.
Interment was in Palestine Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Hugo Blankenship, Clarence Gifford, Roscoe Cooper, Bill Merritt, Erschel Estes and Kenneth Harbor.
