Roberta Ann Sharp Stoddard, age 69, of Mountain Home passed away, April 22, 2010 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. She was born June 25, 1940 in Amarillo, Texas to William E "Red" Sharp and Margaret Wotawa Sharp.

Roberta was a teacher and worked as a special tutor to the student athletes of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She was a passionate Razorback fan. She was a long time member Master Gardener Club as well as the Cattleman's Association. She was very active in 4-H. She was in charge of the Mountain Home city park swimming pool. She coached the Mountain Home city swim team. Roberta also established and coached the Mountain Home High School swim team. Roberta was an Alumnus of U of A. She loved working with children and inspired them to put forth their best efforts in all endeavors.

Roberta Stoddard is survived by 4 daughters: Marjorie Schultz (Tom) of Fulton, MO, Robin Stoddard of Oceanside, CA, Christine Rhoney (Chris) of Stafford, VA, and Teresa Jones (Chris) of Little Rock, AR; her mother, Margaret Sharp; her brother: Francis Dale "Sonny" Sharp (Judi) of Mountain Home, AR. And 5 grandchildren: Christine Lea Pilgrim, Kurt Pilgrim, William Rhoney, Joseph Rhoney, and Victoria Jones, and one great grandson Eli Esquibel-Pilgrim.

On Wednesday, April 28th, a gathering of friends and family of Roberta Stoddard will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Comfort Inn in Mountain Home, Arkansas. On Thursday, April 29th, graveside services will be held at East Oakland Cemetery at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations have been requested to the Mountain Home Educational Foundation (http://mhef.info). Arrangements are by Twin Lakes Cremation Society and Funeral Home.
