Effie Louise McGhee Evans, age 80, of Perry, passed away, Saturday, June 26, 2010. She was born December 5, 1929 in Perry, Arkansas, a daughter of Ben McGhee and Birdie Thomas McGhee. She was the widow of Jack Evans and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her sons, Ronnie Evans of Leola; Wayne Evans of Cabot; daughters, Jackie Arellano of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Carol McCoy of Adona; brothers, Athron McGhee of Oppelo and Cleadith McGhee of Houston; sister, Martha York of Morrilton; twelve grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, at McGhee Cemetery with Rueben Leach officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 28, at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
