Nona Ray Nelson McGhee, age 70, of Bigelow, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2009. She was born September 7, 1938 in Stonewall, Arkansas a daughter of Sidney Nelson and Lena Creson Nelson. She was the widow of Alvie McGhee and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne McGhee of Stony Point, and Jeff Lewis McGhee of Houston, Arkansas, and David McGhee of Bigelow; brothers and sisters, Carl Nelson, Lewis Nelson, Nina Cornwell, Tricia Nelson, and Carol Shortnancy all of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 20, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. John Chapman officiating. Burial will be at McGhee Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
