Carrell M. Phillips, 67, of Sonora, died May 27, 1993, at his home.

He was born Sept. 18, 1925, at Spring Valley, the son of Harlan Floyd and Lucy Lawson Phillips. He was in the U.S. Army, served during World War 11 and was a member of VFW Post No. 2952 in Springdale. Phillips was a retired manager of Jones Truck Line Salvage. He was a member of Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Nadine Smyer Phillips, of the home; four sons, Jerry L. Phillips and Don E.* Phillips, both of Springdale; and Steve W. Phillips and Keith E. Phillips, both of Hindsville; one daughter, Paula D. Wiley of Tulsa; two brothers, Henry Phillips of Jay, Okla., and Claude F. Phillips of Rogers; two sisters, Ruby N. Clardy of Lowell, and Phyllis R. Joyner of Hindsville; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.

Funeral is set for Tuesday, June 1, at 2 p.m. in the Sonora Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Burkshed Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Sisco Chapel.

*Note: Correct spelling of Don E Phillips names is Donald P. Phillips.
