Elizabeth Woodard Wyman

Elizabeth Harth Woodard Wyman, 84, passed away Saturday, Nov 5, 2005, at her home in Rogers with her family at her side. She was born May 22, 1921, in Blackwell, Okla., to Charles P. and Alice Miller Harth. She had lived in Rogers since 1948.

Elizabeth graduated from the University of Tulsa and was a member of Tri-Delta sorority. She was a teacher, school librarian, PTA member, Teacher of the Year, Rogers educator Hall of Fame and served on the Rogers Public Library Board. She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), avid bridge player, Panhellenic and PEO and Chapter U.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, William C. Woodard and Thomas F. Wyman, and one granddaughter, Beth Reed.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and John Richards of Fort Worth, Texas; three daughters, Missy Woodard Reed of Fayetteville, Molly Woodard of Rogers and Julia Woodard Melson of Rogers; one son and daughter-in-Law, William C. and Linda Woodard of Springfield, Mo.; seven grandchildren, McCoy Reed of Fayetteville, Curtis and Christopher Weber of Rogers, Marianne and Mattye Melson of Rogers, Jason and Amanda Woodard of Tulsa, Okla.; one great-grandchild; five nieces and one nephew.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at First Christian Church in Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church, 905 S. 13th, Rogers, 72756; Circle of Life Hospice. 901 Jones Road, Springdale, 72762 or Rogers Public Library, 711 S. Dixieland Road, Rogers, 72756.

Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Service, Rogers.
