DEASON, Cynthia Jane WALKER - (from Oak Hill} Mrs. Cynthia Jane Walker Deason, widow of the late Uncle Hone Deason, died Sunday at her home west of town at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 27 days. Funeral services were held at the Pleasant Hill church Monday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. O.A. Greenleaf, pastor of the Baptist church of Rogers. A large number of friends and relatives were present to bear the last testimony to the many splendid virtues of this good woman. Cynthia Jane Walker was born in Bedford Co., Tenn. December 17, 1837 and with her parents she came to Benton county in 1851, her father, Buck Walker, settling on Pea Ridge. She married Hone Deason and to them were born five children, four of whom are still living, Mrs. Ella Maxwell of Miami, Okla. and Robert, Newt and William Deason, all of this county. Together with her husband she joined the Pleasant Hill Baptist church where she held her membership until she died. She was one of the most faithful attendants and was in her seat at the church whenever it was possible.
