*Obituary
George Lucas Daugherty, 86, of Van Buren, Arkansas died Monday October 17, 2005, in a local hospital. He was an employee of DeSoto Furniture Manufacturing for 38 years, a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, an Army veteran of World War II and the widower of Regeta Daugherty.

Funeral was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill Cemetery in Kibler.

He is survived by two daughters, a son, three brothers, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

REGETA DAUGHERTY, 78, of Van Buren died Sunday, January 16, 2000 in a local hospital. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Van Buren and was the former owner and operator of Ransom Grocery.

Funeral will be 3 p.m. today (January 16, 2000) in Ocker Memorial Chapel of Van Buren, with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

She is survived by her husband, George L. Daugherty of Van Buren; two daughters, Sheila R. Dyer of Van Buren and Oretha Faye Ferguson of Fort Smith; one son, Rickey Joe Daugherty of Van Buren; five grandchildren, Rodney Eugene Bynum of Van Buren, Brad and Brooke Daugherty, both of Van Buren, and Jessica and James Matthew Ferguson, both of Fort Smith; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bob, Richard, Carl and Brad Daugherty, Rodney Bynum and James Matthew Ferguson.
