Obituary
Harold Dean Loyd, 67 of Van Buren died Wednesday, January 30, 2002 in his home.
He was born April 5, 1934 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Mr. and Mrs. Roy G. Loyd.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, former deputy circuit clerk, county clerk and Crawford County Judge.
He was a member of Van Buren Masonic Lodge No. 6, County Judges Association, County Clerks Association, Cattlemens Association, Crawford County Fair Association, Crawford County Junior Livestock, Lion's Club, WAEDA, Area Agency on Aging and Comprehensive Juvenile Services and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

He was survived by his wife, Carolyn Cole Loyd, of the home, one daughter, Debra Bridges of Fort Smith and one son, Randy Loyd of Van Buren, and one stepson, Kevin Moore of Alma.
He also had four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the Van Buren Assembly of God Church with burial at Gill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Judge Gary Cotrell, Bill Farrar, Gerald Medlcok, Bruce Neidecker, Johnny Parker, Bill Thomas, Judge Joe Powell and Larry McClure.
Honorary pallbearers were Patti Hill, Sammie Page, Diana Gentry, Tina McAlister, Donnie Easter, Dorvan Wiley, Co. Weldon Ramey, Johnny Ragsdale, Jim Medley, Milton Brownlee, Judge Pete Rogers, Wylie Brewer, Bill Edwards, Dean Metheny, Herman Pulse, Herman Kimes, Jim Sargent Jr., Russell Montag and David Burkhart.
