Ruth Loyd, 96, of Van Buren died Monday, January 7, 2002 in a local nursing home.
She was a retired teacher for the Van Buren Public School system and a member of Hertiage United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Loyd.
Survivors were two nieces, Lynne and her husband, John Rotert of Van Buren and Pam Naaman of Houston; a nephew, Brad Blackwood of Corpus Christi, Texas; four great nephews; a sister-in-law, Mary Blackwood of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Graveside service was held at Gracelawn Arbor in Van Buren.
