ETHELDA FAE KAUFFELD of Little Rock, age 75, died May 3, 2012 from congestive heart failure.

Mrs. Kauffeld was born in Hesston, Kan. on Sept. 14, 1936 to Tipton and Opal Herrington Collins.

On Jan. 14, 1954 she married the Lawrence Kauffeld of Clarksville, Ark.

After years of homemaking and raising children, she joined Lawrence on the road driving as a team for J.B. Hunt until retirement. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Temple of Little Rock since 1972 and served as receptionist, 3-year-old teacher and adult class secretary. She was a devout Christian and always adamant about those close to her having faith also. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by Lawrence, her husband of 57 years; two children, Cinda Sue Kauffeld and Donald Alan Kauffeld; two sisters, Loretta Gayle Collins and Norma Jean Willis and one brother, Norval Collins.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel (Maureen) Kauffeld of Little Rock, Ark., David (Nancy) Kauffeld of Beebe, Ark. and one daughter Colleen (David) McClure of Benton, Ark.; three brothers, Loren (Mary) Collins and Milford (Betty) Collins of Hindsville and Sheridan (Sue) Collins of Florida; two sisters, Lovella (Millard) Acuff and Mildred (Ronnie) McLaughlin of Springdale, Ark.; five grandchildren, Cyndie (Ralph) Coulter, Amber Kauffeld and Staci Kauffeld, all of Beebe, Ark. Brian (Nathalia) Vines of Denver, Colo., Misty (John Paul) Gudino of Oklahoma, Alan (Nicole) McClure of Benton and seven great grandchildren.

Special thanks are given to Baptist Hospice and especially Linda Lawhon.

The funeral service will be at Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville, Ark. at 11, Monday, May 7, 2012 with Brother Loren Collins officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, Ark. The family will be receiving visitors at 10 on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Hardwicke funeral chapel.
