Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice Isa Glendenning Bird, 86, wife of Meek T. Bird, 622 McCullough St., were held Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. at Proctor's Chapel. Mrs. Bird who was a member of a prominent pioneer family of Ouachita County and Camden, died Saturday in a local hospital. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jack S. Smith of Mobile, Ala., and Mrs. Lucien Weatherly of Bastrop, La., two sisters, Miss Mary Glendenning and Mrs. Nell Glendenning Newman, both of Little Rock; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Burial was in the family plot at Greenwood Cemetery. (Camden News - August 14, 1972)
