WHEATLEY, Nellie STEWART - Mrs. M. Wheatley died at her home Monday, Dec. 30th at 4:15 p.m. and funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church Wednesday at 2:30 and were conducted by Rev. T.B. Guthrie, pastor, and the remains laid to rest in the city cemetery. Miss Nellie Stewart was born in Rockbridge Co., Va. June 1, 1849; was married to Martin Wheatley Oct. 1870 at Indianapolis, Ind. She united with the Christian church in 1870 then in 1880 she united with the Presbyterian church. She came to Arkansas with her husband and family in 1902. She leaves besides her husband, two sons, Dr. C.I. Wheatley of St. Cloud, Fla., now in France, and Geo. Wheatley of Rogers; one daughter, Mrs. W.A. Henry of this city, and a large circle of friends to mourn her death. She was active in church work until failing health kept her at home and will be missed by those with whom she came in contact. The Democrat joins friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved ones.
