Troy Dee "Bone" Acklin was born to the late Joseph and Leola Acklin on February 20, 1930 in Conway "Preston" Arkansas. He departed this life on January 13, 2011. Troy was an active member of the Mt. Gale Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Superintendent of the Sunday School and Usher Board until his death.Troy was employed for over thirty five (35) years with the Union Pacific Railroads until he retired in 1994. Troy's love was riding his tractor and doing odd jobs in and around the Conway/Gold Lake/Mayflower community. After an accident on his job left him without legs, he found a way to rig that little red tractor and keep on trucking. He loved being outside and around those "young dudes", he would say. But when the day was done, you could see him riding his red tractor home with a smile because he had made that mon (money).

Troy was a loving husband to his wife, Mary for over fifty plus years. He was also a great father to five girls, Barbara Edwards (James) of Texas; Diane Foster (Roy, Jr) of Little Rock; Deborah Blackwell (Harold, Jr) of Atlanta; Beverly Bunting (Theodore,Jr) of Louisiana; Sandra of Maryland. education.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Mary, his five daughters, Barbara, Diane, Deborah, Beverly and Sandra. One sister, Lillian Hopkins of Orlando, FL; five grandchildren, Aisha, Kerbie, Ryan, Trey and Troy; three great-grandchildren, Alexia, Channing and Kamorian and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
