September 27, 1888 - October 20, 1948
Mrs. Elma Bartlett, former Camden nurse, died in Dallas, Texas at 8 a.m. Friday according to word received here from her daughter, Mrs. Bennye Park. Mrs. Bartlett had been in Dallas for several months. She recently had returned to Camden and sold her home at 710 Maple street. She formerly was nurse for Dr. Rowland Robins, local physician and had held several nursing positions in Camden. The body will be returned to Camden for burial. Proctor mortuary will be in charge. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Proctor chapel here. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery with Proctor's in charge. (Camden News - October 29, 1948)
