Bernice McGee, 85, of Batesville, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at White River Medical Center.

Born, September 12, 1925 in Saffell, she was the daughter of William Clay Richey and Syble Mae Harris Richey. She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ faith.

Survivors include a son, Jerry McGee of Strawberry; a daughter, Catherine West of Fernley, Nevada; three brothers: Maynard Richey of Strawberry, Gerald Richey of Lynn, and W. C. Richey also of Strawberry; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Ward Cemetery in Strawberry under the direction of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City. There will not be a visitation.
