Fred Simmons Hoke, 84, Gravette, died Sept. 21 at a Gravette nursing home. Born Nov. 22, 1889, in Nevada, Mo., he was the son of John and Sythnia Hoke, and was a retired lumber dealer and farmer.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Shirley McGhee, Gravette; one brother, Harve Hoke, Joplin, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Ray, Santa Rosa, Calif., and Mrs. Emma Holman, Vallejo, Calif. and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today at 2:30 p.m. at Pyeatte Chapel in Gravette, with William Smith officiating. Burial was in Coffelt under direction of Pyeatte Funeral Services.
