William Albert Speer, aged 86 of Tinsman, died August 30, 1962 at a Fordyce hospital. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Charity Thomason Speer; three sons, Hays Speer of Foreman, Robert Speer of Fordyce and Woody Speer of Tinsman, a sister, Mrs. Lela Speer Brunston of Vienilla, La.; ten grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the Watson Church by Elder Arthur Speer. Burial was in Watson Cemetery. (Calhoun Herald - Hampton, Arkansas - September 6, 1962)
