REDFIELD Betty Lorraine Rhoads Bradshaw, age 65, of Redfield our beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, went to join Jesus early Thursday morning, July 16, 2009. Her loving husband, children, brothers, and sister were close by her side. Betty was born October 19, 1943, in Little Rock, a daughter of the late Lewis C. Rhoads and Elsie Roller Rhoads. She grew up in Redfield, and was a member of River Road Church of God along with her family. She later joined River Road Baptist Church in Redfield. She retired in 1994 from the Pine Bluff Arsenal as the secretary for the director of Engineering and Technology. She was also preceded in death by her son, Danny Bradshaw; a sister, Wilma Jean Wheat; and a brother, Jerry Rhoads. Betty is survived by her husband of 44 years, Billy Bradshaw; her daughter, Connie Medsker and her husband, Jack; three grandchildren, Hunter Medsker, Dillon Bradshaw, and Triston Bradshaw; two sisters, Lucille Campbell of Mayflower and Carolyn McGehee (Jim Bob) of Angleton, Texas; two brothers, Earl Rhoads (Mary) and Lewis Rhoads (Lena), all of Redfield; and a number of beloved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Betty's life will be held Monday, 2 p.m. at River Road Church of God. Burial will be in Redfield Cemetery by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services of Pine Bluff.
