Carlton - September 16, 1903 - November 29, 1969
Joe Carlton Webb, 60 of 665 Maple St., died Saturday morning from an accidental gunshot wound while squirrel hunting with his two grandsons near Camden. He was a retired engineer with the Arkansas Highway Department, and a Mason. Mr. Webb was born in Calhoun County, the son of Lee Webb and Lela Robertson Webb, and had lived here for many years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hazel Plunkett Webb; two daughters, Mrs. Edward R. Hubbard of Prescott, and Mrs. R. E. Davis of Port Neches, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Edd L. Johnston of North Little Rock and Mrs. Lester Parker of Camden; his mother, Mrs. Lela Webb, also of Camden, and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11:45 a.m. Monday at Proctor's Chapel, with burial in Plunkett Cemetery at Locust Bayou. (Camden News - December 1, 1969)
