Virgie Hazelton

PEA RIDGE — Virgie Hazelton, 78, of Pea Ridge died March 3, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born May 31, 1928, at Garfield to John Chesley and Oma Alice Widders Mitchell.

She was a lifetime resident of the area, graduating from Pea Ridge High School, and was owner and operator of Adcock Drilling Co. She was a member of First Baptist Church and volunteered with the church food preparation staff. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Beta Alpha Sorority for 30 years, where she helped with the annual Pea Ridge Fair.

She enjoyed gardening and house plants.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Webb.

Survivors include three daughters, Julia Wade and husband Russ of Pea Ridge; Belinda Walsh and husband Patrick of Russellville; Denise Howard of Wesley; one sister, Pat Lehmkuhl of Rogers; son-in-law, Gary Webb of Rogers; seven grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge with Al Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Pea Ridge Cemetery.
