Lydia "Mamo" Hays Scoggins, 92, of Hutchinson Mountain died Monday in a local nursing home. The daughter of Deck and Anna Gibbs Hays, she was a homemaker, a lifelong resident of Hutchinson Mountain and attended the Hutchinson Mountain Church of Christ. Survivors include five grandsons, Billy Scoggins, Tim Scoggins, Steve Scoggins and Rick Scoggins, all of Batesville; a granddaughter, Lisa Savage of Charlotte; 14 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Scoggins; a daughter, Margrette Kruger; a son, Vernon Scoggins; and a grandson, Junior England. Pallbearers were Billy Scroggins, Bill Scroggins Jr. Tim Scoggins, Jimmy Scoggins, Phillip Scroggins and Johnny England. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. David Kauffman, Gene England, Gaylon England, David Johnston, Chad Baker and Jack Savage.
