The Melbourne Times, Melbourne, Arkansas, July 4, 1924:

Mrs. Ford Passes

Following an illness of several weeks, Mrs. Minnie Ford (nee Marchant) beloved wife of Mr. W. M. Ford aged about 45 years died at her home at Oxford Monday evening June 23rd and was laid to rest in the Oxford Cemetery Tuesday.

Mrs. Ford was one of the most highly respected and beloved women in the county, possessing as she did an amiable disposition and the heart of a true Christian helpful to her neighbors in time of need or distress, which had caused to be formed around her a circle of admiring friends, friends who will miss her now she is gone, which is the noblest tribute that can be paid the departed.

Mrs. Ford is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Essie Armstrong of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, who was at her bedside during her last illness. She is survived also by three brothers, Wells, Wiley and Rufus who reside in Texas.

The Times extends unfeigned sympathy to the bereaved.
