Sylvia P. Strother, 85, of Hutchinson Mountain community died Friday, April 19, 2002, at West Palm Beach, Fla.
Born March 24, 1917, in McHue, she was the daughter of William and Mertis Williams Linebarger. She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Mildred Ruth of West Palm Beach; a brother, Fred Linebarger of Lancaster, Ohio; three sisters, Cestia Powell of Newport, Fern Ellis of Grandview and Leah Grace Hubbard of Illinois; and a granddaughter, Rhonda R. Capkanis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Lenora Linebarger Downs, Selma Combs and Louise Linebarger, and a brother, Hardy Linebarger.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hutchinson Mountain Church of Christ with Floyn Rine and Bob Harris officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery on Hutchinson Mountain with arrangements by Willis-Hays Funeral Service of Batesville.
Pallbearers will be Boyd Mosier, Gerald Barber, Harold Vaughn, Howard Combs, Bill Grady, and Dale Moore.
Honorary pallbearer will be Bob Strother.
