Obituary for Fronie Miranda Porterfield:
Fronie Miranda Porterfield formerly of Oxford died Tuesday (June 17) at the Fulton County Nursing Home in Salem. She was 96.
Mrs. Porterfield was born June 15, 1890 in Izard County. She married Leon Porterfield Aug 29, 1920 in Izard County.
Survivors include one daughter, Edna Maher of Paris, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and several other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents Willis and Adline Pike McVey; her husband; two brothers and five sisters.
Graveside services were Wednesday at Oxford Cemetery with Brother Leon Graves officiating. Pallbearers included Edward Singleton, Darrell Ferguson, Eldridge Sherrell, Fisher Moss, Graydon Bone and Darrell Sherrell.
Arrangements were by Salem Funeral Service, Inc. of Salem.
