Major Stires
Major El Stires of Lyons, Ga., a former resident of Rogers, died Sept. 25 in a
Lyons nursing home. He was an employee of Harris Baking Co. of Rogers before moving to Tulsa, where he was employed by a construction company. He moved to Lyons in 1976.
He is survived by his wife, Verla Parks Stires of the home, and two sisters, V. Blanche Hogge and Helen Stires, both of Blairsville. Ga.

MRS. FAYE STIRES
Mrs. Faye Davis Stires, 63, died in Tulsa Saturday morning. She was born September 9, 1906 at Woodward, Oklahoma. Mrs. Stires was a Licensed Practical Nurse and member of Will Rogers Methodist Church, Tulsa.
She is survived by her husband Major Stires; her mother, Mrs. Della Davis of Rogers; two sisters, Mrs. Glee Bunch and Mrs. Blanche Shaddox, both of Rogers.
The body is being returned to Rogers for burial. Arrangements for the the funeral service and burial, under the direction of the Callison Funeral Home, are incomplete.
