Services at Oxford for Mrs. Curtis Smith
Funeral services for Mrs. Gussie Geneva Harber Smith were held Saturday afternoon, February 9 at the Oxford Methodist Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Y. D. Whitehurst officiating.
Gussie Geneva Harber was born at Newburg March 11, 1910 to the late A. L. and Ella Everett Harber and passed away February 4, 1963 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was married to Curtis Smith at Salem, Arkansas November 23, 1939. They became the parents of three daughters, one of whom, Daphne, preceded her mother in death when a small child. The other two daughters, Alana and Katy Smith, together with her husband Curtis Smith of Madera, California survive her.
Other survivors include five brothers, Newton Harber, Seminole, Oklahoma; Amos Harber of Oxford, Richard Harber of Kansas City, Kansas; Marvin Harber and Woodrow Harber, both of Bexar; two sisters, Mrs. Curtis Sublett of Kansas City, Kansas and Mrs. Ernest Pinkston of Phoenix, Arizona and a stepmother, Mrs. Fannie Harber of Wiseman; numerous other relatives and many friends.
