Mrs. Lona Pendergrass, 49, died at her home south of Oxford Wednesday of last week. She is survived by two brothers, Lewis McVey of Wideman and Willie McVey of Texas; five sisters, Mrs. Lula Kidwell of Tennessee, Mrs. Cora King of Missouri, Mrs. Frances Beard of Texas, Mrs. Fannie Solomon and Mrs. Frona Porterfield of Oxford and one son, Muncy Pendergrass of Oxford.
[Note: The obituary has the surname spelled Pendergrass; however the gravestone and all records have the name spelled Pendergraft.]
