Spicey Belle Honeycutt, 82, of Conway, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008. She was born March 23, 1925, in Martinsville to the late Isaac and Bertha Plumere Byrd Ward. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George T. Honeycutt, two brothers and one sister.

Belle was a member of the Shirley Church of Christ for many years. After moving to Conway, she attended the Robinson and Center Church of Christ. Belle’s life was best exemplified through her love and devotion to her husband, family and friends. Belle loved the outdoors and spent time fishing and camping. She was a creative lady and showed her talents by collecting rocks that she used to design and build a fire place that welcomed and warmed guests in her home for many years. She enjoyed sewing and often saw clothing in magazines or catalogs and created her own patterns. She cared for both of her parents in their last years so they could remain in their home. She collected teddy bears and liked learning about rocks. She enjoyed visiting Murfreesboro where she could dig for diamonds. She also loved to read.

She is survived by two daughters: Judy Drew and husband Richard; and Kaye Bowie and husband, David, all of Conway. She was loved by eight grandchildren: Tom Drew of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Terry Drew of Clinton; Kimberly McKee of Greenbrier, Teresa Turney, and David “Doobie” Bowie of Vilonia, Bonnie Hensley and Michael Bowie of Conway; and Dennis Weaver of Jacksonville. She leaves behind 18 great grandchildren and two great, great children.

She is also survived by two brothers, R.G. Ward of Formosa; and XL Ward of Cedar Lake, Indiana.
She also leaves behind her little dog and constant companion, Jose.
Belle was determined to remain independent and live in her own home. The family would like to thank the Faulkner County Senior Citizen Center for providing Meals on Wheels and Robinson and Center Church of Christ for transportation so Belle could attend services each week.

Pallbearers were her grandsons: Tom Drew, Terry Drew, David Bowie, Michael Bowie, Jerry McKee, Donald Turney, Larry Hensley and Dennis Weaver. Honorary pallbearers were her great grandsons.
