WIGHT, Simeon - Simeon Wight was born in Spencer County, Ind. January 16, 1838 and moved with his parents when he was six years old to the farm near Little Flock church where he died January 4, 1920 after a very short illness. He was married to Nancy E. Garrett September 1858, who died November 3, 1918. To this union were born eleven children and are Albert S., Norman and Clarence Wight, Mrs. Mattie Ellis, Mrs. Mahala Easley and Mrs. Lucy Jordan, (only 6 named} all of whom live in or near Rogers and were present. Also one brother, Warren Wight, and 30 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren, and many other friends who regret to learn of his death. "Uncle Simmie," as he was known, was a good old man and in November 1870 he united with the Primitive Baptist church and lived a faithful christian life until death relieved him of his suffering. The funeral was conducted at the home Monday afternoon by Elder Coons with interment in Little Flock cemetery amidst a large crowd of relatives and friends. A Relative.
