Nellie Mae Strother Gay, 60, of Hutchinson died Monday at her home. A lifelong resident of Independence County, she was a retired employee of Arkansas Poultry and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Oval Dean Gay of Batesville and Orval Gean Gay of Huntsville, Texas; her mother, Mrs. Monnie Strother of Hutchison; two brothers, Bob and Donald Strother, both of Hutchinson; four sisters, Flo Krug, June Bailey and Stella Roberts, all of Hutchinson, and Irene Stephens of Pleasant Plains; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Hutchinson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Archie Lee Goodman, Monroe Strother, Jerry Strother, Turk Creech, Noel McGee and Fred Strother.
