Woman Leaves 187 Direct Descendants
Funeral services for Mrs. Viney Brumley, 95, of Oak Grove, who died Saturday in a Batesville hospital, were held Monday at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. W. T. Rider, pastor of the Magness Missionary Baptist Church officiated.
Burial was at Palestine Cemetery at Hutchinson by Daniel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brumley was born in Clay County, Ala, in 1871. She came to Arkansas at the age of seven with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Strother.
She leaves 187 direct descendants.
They include three sons, Askew Brumley, Bald Knob, Albert Brumley, Kuier, Mich., and Marion Brumley, Eufaula, Okla; three daughters, Rosie Smith, Huff, Retha Chumley, Judsonia, and Janie Davis, Judsonia; one brother, Aaron Strother, H u t c h i n s o n; 33 grandchildren, 106 great grandchildren and 42 great great grandchildren.
